WHEREAS environmental fees are being charged at point of sale for oil, filters and containers; and
WHEREAS it is desirable to have used oil collected and reused or disposed of in an environmentally friendly way; and
WHEREAS used oil collection companies paid the consumer for the used oil in the past, but are presently charging them for the collection of used oil and filters;
BE IT RESOLVED that SARM lobby the Provincial and Federal Governments to use the collected environmental fees to eliminate fees charged to consumers for the collection of used oil and filters.
