WHEREAS rural municipalities are finding it challenging to find ways to enforce their municipal bylaws; and

WHEREAS the RCMP are not in a position to enforce municipal bylaws; and

WHEREAS it is cost prohibitive for municipalities to employ or contract their own bylaw enforcement officer;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM investigate employing bylaw enforcement officers and contracting them out to municipalities and a report be presented to the delegates at the 2012 mid-term convention.
