WHEREAS the guide to Organized Hamlets in Saskatchewan is no longer available and legislation is sparse and vague; and

 

WHEREAS many municipalities are struggling to manage a cooperative and peaceful working relationship with Organized Hamlets within their boundaries; and

 

WHEREAS Organized Hamlets Boards and Council need clear concise direction and education to inform all involved of the authority, roles and responsibilities of Hamlet Boards and Council;

 

BE IT RESOLVED SARM lobby the Provincial Government to provide a new guide with clear and concise policy outlines as well as enable Government of Saskatchewan Municipal Advisors to come into communities to do workshops or formulate webinars to assist with healthy relationships.
