Administrator

The Rural Municipality of Good Lake No. 274 invites applications for a qualified Administrator with duties beginning approximately October 1, 2024.

The R.M. consists of 9 townships with a population of 1181 permanent residents. It also includes the Organized Hamlets of Good Spirit Acres and Burgis Beach as well as 7 other resort subdivisions on Good Spirit Lake.

The new municipal office building is located in the Town of Canora, which is served by provincial highways #9 and #5. The Town of Canora offers a full range of services including K-12 public school, curling rink, hockey rink, new summer swimming pool and golf course.

Reporting directly to Council, the Administrator will work co-operatively with Council in all operations of the municipality.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Class “C” Certificate in Local Government Administration and/or be eligible to attain a Class “C” Certificate and become a member of Rural Municipal Administrators Association. Preference will be given to applicants with Class “A” Certificate.

Previous experience required in the areas of financial operation, operating and capital budgeting, assessment and tax process, tax enforcement, planning and development and general office management.

Proficient in various software applications including MuniSoft and Microsoft Office.
