The Government of Saskatchewan’s Water Pumping Equipment Rental Program has been transferred from the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture effective January 1, 2010.
The distribution of water pumping equipment will be administered by Saskatchewan Agriculture’s Irrigation Branch and Regional Services Branch.
Services will be available at six locations including Outlook, Weyburn, Swift Current, Yorkton, Tisdale and North Battleford. The Pumping Co-ordinator is situated with the Irrigation Branch in Outlook.
The equipment rental rates will remain the same for 2010:
· The daily rate for farm or municipal use for one pump and up to 1.6 km (one mile) of pipe is $475.
· The daily rate for commercial or industrial use for one pump and up to
1.6 km of pipe is $706.
