SARM will hold its 101st Annual Convention next week from March 6 – 9, at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina.
The convention officially opens Tuesday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m. The Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan will present the Award for Outstanding Service to Rural Saskatchewan during the opening ceremonies. Later that afternoon, Minister of Government Relations Harry Van Mulligen will address delegates.
On the morning of March 8, the Premier will give an address. The Premier’s address will be followed by the bear pit session with cabinet. Federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Chuck Strahl has also been added to the agenda for the afternoon of March 8. The SARM Convention will mark MIninster Strahl’s first official visit to Saskatchewan.
This convention will also be President Neal Hardy’s last convention as president. Elections for association president will take place on the morning of March 9.
