On February 2, 2009, Premier Wall announced $100 million in new infrastructure funding for municipalities, by way of the Municipal Economic Enhancement Program.(MEEP). The funds will be distributed on a per capita basis, with RMs receiving $19.2 million. The application process has been simplified with plans to have money out to municipalities by the end of March. The deadline for applications is February 28, 2009 and municipalities must expend their allocation on approved projects by March 31, 2011.
