Full Time Equipment and Grader Operator

The Rural Municipality of Arborfield No. 456 is accepting applications for the position of a full-time year-round Equipment and Grader Operator.

This applicant must be self-motivated and will assist in the maintenance of the road network. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package after the applicable probationary period as been completed.

This position is to begin as soon as possible.

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Backhoe and General Maintenance during the Spring – Fall seasons.
  • rock picking, gravel hauling and spreading, sign installation, culvert installation, assist with ditch mowing if required.
• Grader Operations and Snow Removal during the Winter season.

The successful candidate:

• Should possess Power Mobile Equipment Certification.
• Should possess a valid Class 1A license.
  • Applicants with Class 1A will be a priority, but applicants without may be considered.
• Must be able to operate and maintain various pieces of equipment as required (grader, tractor, dozer etc).
• Have working knowledge of road building and maintenance.
• Be able to work independently without supervision and as part of a team.
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
