The R.M of Frontier No. 19 is seeking applications for the position of a fulltime working foreman.

Summary of position:

  • Receives directives from council and works in close cooperation with both council & the administrator
  • Good communication skills with council, staff & ratepayers
  • Organizational and record keeping skills
  • Provide a monthly report for the council meeting
  • Co-ordinate and assign work schedules & supervise day to day operations of the employees
  • Ability to work without supervision and with other employees
  • Be competent, self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Operate and maintain graders, tractor, mower, trucks, sprayer, semi, gravel trailers and other duties that council may assign.
  • Valid driver’s license-Class 1A
  • Valid Power Mobile Equipment Certificate or willing to obtain one as well as other required training for WHMIS, TDG, Ground Disturbance, Pesticide Applicator License
  • Ensure proper training of employees on all equipment
  • Mechanical and welding a requirement

A criminal record check (less than 6 months old) & drivers abstract required prior to hiring.

The RM offers competitive wages, benefits package and a pension plan. The benefits package is in effect after 3 months. There will be a probation period.
