Foreman

The Rural Municipality of Kingsley No.124 is currently accepting applications for the position of Foreman. Employment is full-time year-round OR can have the ability to be seasonal full-time, dependent on the applicants needs.

Applicants should have experience in maintenance and operation of heavy equipment including grader, backhoe, mowers, tractors, etc.

Key duties will include, but not limited to, the following:
– ability to schedule and prioritize work and report to council on activities and related issues
– organize employees and assign tasks while ensuring safety procedures are followed and maintained
– knowledge of grading, maintaining & building roads, mowing, installing culverts, servicing equipment, etc.
– managing and ordering shop inventory
– supervise and coordinate the work of various contractors

Qualifications:
– Ability to work co-operatively with the Administrator & Council
– Ability to work with staff, contractors, suppliers, ratepayers, etc.
– Great leadership, organizational, communication and record keeping skills
– Geographical knowledge of the RM is an asset
– Previous supervisory skills would be a great asset
– Mechanical ability would be a definite asset
– Must hold a valid drivers license, Class 1A is an asset

Employment start date can be flexible, with the ability to start as soon as possible.
