Midterm: Yes
Expired: No

WHEREAS SaskTel cell service in some rural areas varies from poor to non-existent;

WHEREAS rural customers pay the same rates for cell service as urban dwellers;

WHEREAS rural customers must surely be entitled to the same quality of service as urban customers;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM lobby the provincial government to insist that SaskTel's rural cell customers receive the equivalent level of service as urban customers;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if SaskTel is unable to provide a reliable service to all areas for whatever reason, SARM ask the provincial government to remove all barriers that may be precluding other service providers, who are willing and able to provide good service to rural areas, particularly along the Saskatchewan/Manitoba border, from operating.
