WHEREAS SARM bylaws require board members to resign their position in order to seek nomination in a federal or provincial election; and

WHEREAS most organizations simply require board members to take a leave of absence until such time as they are nominated;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM investigate the bylaw changes required in order to allow SARM board members to seek nomination in federal and provincial elections without resigning until they are elected.
