Resolution No. 2-04M

WHEREAS, SARM makes available to rural municipalities long-term and short-term disability programs to cover wages for times when their employees are disabled, either from accidents or sickness at work or at any other time; and

WHEREAS, this insurance pays for loss of wages but does not compensate for loss of life or loss of abilities (everyday living, recreational, etc.);

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that SARM consider supplying life and accident insurance coverage for loss of limbs, eyes, etc. with a lump sum payment for employees under the disability programs.
