Rural Municipal Signing System
WHEREAS the Rural Municipal Signing system, which includes the rural addressing standard, was adopted by resolution No.7 -05M at the 2005 mid-term convention of the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities; and
WHEREAS Information Services Corporation has developed a Provincial Standard System of Rural addressing in Saskatchewan;
BE IT RESOLVED that SARM lobby the Provincial Government to provide funding for rural municipalities to implement this system.

- In 2008-09, the Ministry of Municpal Affairs will provide a total of $40.8 million in unconditional Revenue Sharing grants to Rural Municipalities, which can be used to fund various municipal priorities, including a Rural Municipal Signing System.
- The Minister of Municipal Affairs has been mandated by the Premier to deliver on the government's commitment to increase funding for municipal revenue sharing, while negotiating a new revenue sharing deal with muncipalities that will include a percentage of the provincial government's own source revenue.
