WHEREAS SARM takes direction from its members through face-to-face interaction via various conventions and division meetings that are held throughout the year; and

WHEREAS with such direction from its members, SARM, as a grass-roots organization, has a long history of successfully advocating on behalf of all rural municipalities in Saskatchewan; and

WHEREAS, as SARM has changed and evolved through the years, it has, from time to time, reviewed and assessed its various processes to ensure that every individual rural municipality is receiving the best possible value for being involved in the association;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors be directed to initiate a review to assess the timing and duration of SARM’s conventions and division meetings and prepare a report with any recommendations that would improve or enhance the use of our collective resources in this regard; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this report be presented at the 2011 Midterm Convention for the review and consideration of this delegate body.
