WHEREAS security systems installed in municipal buildings mitigate the risk of a claim being filed for damages caused by vandalism, break and enter, fire and when furnaces quit working; and

WHEREAS other insurance companies offer insurance premium discounts when security systems are installed;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM investigate the possibility of offering discounts through the Property Self- Insurance Program to SARM members for installing security systems in municipal buildings.
