WHEREAS over the last couple of years, the Quill Lakes have increased in size due to excessive moisture; and

WHEREAS this water has taken a large number of acres out of production and will remain so for years after the water subsides; and

WHEREAS these lands are considered valueless in their present state as no one would purchase this land;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Federal Government take responsibility for the storage of excessive water in the Quill Lakes by purchasing, renting or leasing the private lands affected.
