WHEREAS STARS has been in Saskatchewan for 5 years in Regina and Saskatoon; and

WHEREAS the private sector has contributed significantly to the purchase of the emergency helicopters and ongoing operational expenses; and

WHEREAS STARS has had a major impact on saving lives in rural Saskatchewan in over 500 communities; and

BE IT RESOLVED that a voluntary contribution of a minimum of $2 per capita per year from each participating RM be submitted to SARM.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that SARM present a cheque from the voluntary contributors collected to the chairperson of STARS at our November convention on an ongoing annual basis, to help fund the maintenance of STARS.
