WHEREAS wildfires are natural disasters;

WHEREAS there have been substantial losses due to recent wildfires;

WHEREAS many of these losses are uninsurable;

WHEREAS these losses severely impact the well-being of the agricultural community;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM lobby the Government of Saskatchewan to include uninsurable fire loss in the eligible criteria for the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program.
