WHEREAS the provincial government is in the process of wholesale closure of rural landfills;
WHEREAS in most cases an alternative site is not within practical distance of urban and rural ratepayers;
WHEREAS RMs are now victim of illegal dumping in roadside ditches;
BE IT RESOLVED the provincial government restore landfill site operations until an alternate solution is found or created.
