Point of Privilege Resolution No. 5-04A

WHEREAS, the provincial government is reviewing the cost of education on property; and

WHEREAS, education is a people cost; and

WHEREAS, all people require some type of residence; and

WHEREAS, education tax on agricultural, commercial and small businesses is a deterrent to economic growth;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this convention go on record as directing government to remove the taxable assessment for education purposes from all assessment classes of property except for residential property.
