Point of Privilege Resolution No. 1

WHERAS, in 1966 the Time Act allowed all of Saskatchewan to stay on Mountain Daylight Time all year round, and

WHEREAS, this seemed equitable arrangement for the entire province as only the only eastern one-third of the province was in another time zone, and

WHEREAS, this yearly time zone puts all of Saskatchewan on the same time as Manitoba in the winter and Alberta in the summer, and

WHEREAS, changing to Central Daylight Time in the summer would put the western two-thirds of Saskatchewan two hours ahead of the sun in the summer and would have us undertaking the archaic deed of changing our clocks twice per year;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this convention go on record as opposing any time changes.
