Point of Privilege Resolution No. 1-04A

WHEREAS, European Countries suffering an outbreak of BSE adopted a system of complete testing in order to regain international consumer confidence in their beef products;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Canada adopt a system of complete testing to ensure any infected animal is caught and kept out of the food stream and thus guarantee the BSE free status of the food supply and of our exports; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that SARM lobby senior governments for complete testing.
