Resolution No. 3-03M

WHEREAS, the Municipal Rescue Services Fund was established to more fully compensate municipal fire and rescue units for performing emergency services at vehicle accident scenes not covered by SGI; and

WHEREAS, the Municipal Rescue Services Fund will only pay a blanket rate for any hour or service regardless of the number of fire departments involved; and

WHEREAS, this policy results in costs to the lead fire departments who must then compensate the assisting fire departments;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Municipal Rescue Services Fund change its policy to reimburse the lead fire department for all reasonable, substantiated costs incurred in requesting assistance.
