WHEREAS a police officer who has been retired for more than three years cannot be hired as a municipal police officer without an additional five months of training; and

WHEREAS municipalities are having trouble hiring police officers;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM lobby the Provincial Government to modify the restrictions placed on hiring municipal police officers.
