WHEREAS, insurance companies in Saskatchewan have not designed a property insurance policy specifically for rural municipalities and this often defeats the purpose of tendering since the quotes submitted are not for similar coverage (ie. guaranteed replacement cost); and W

HEREAS, our sister organization SUMA has been successful in partnering with a company to provide its members with competition in the property insurance business resulting in reduced rates and increased coverage;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we direct SARM to investigate the feasibility of a similar arrangement.
