WHEREAS SARM represented the interests of, and negotiations for, rural municipalities when SaskTel introduced and provided the former LoadTrak program; and

WHEREAS SaskTel has discontinued the LoadTrak program, transferred all rural municipality accounts to the SentinelFM program offered by BSM Wireless Inc.; and

WHEREAS these rural municipalities depend on the SentinelFM program to provide accurate fleet tracking information, especially map reports, that can be used for tracking a vehicle’s current location and provides valid documents for insurance claims; and

WHEREAS the current map reports from SentinelFM program only includes primary highways, secondary highways and primary grid routes, and is difficult to use;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM work with BSM Wireless Inc. to update their map reports to include all roads within each rural municipality that were previously included on the LoadTrak map reports and to improve user access options, or find an alternate fleet management provider.
