Our Government continues to work with municipalities when dealing with stray animals. Table 1 of The Stray Animals Regulations, 1999 sets out maximum fees to allow municipalities flexibility when administering The Stray Animal Act. We are not considering amending the Regulations to account for specific species at this time. The Ministry will continue to provide guidance and work with municipalities when dealing with stray animals.
