Resolution 16-07A
Building Communities Program

WHEREAS, the Government of Saskatchewan has made a commitment to making life better for families and building a better future for the youth of the province; and

WHEREAS, sustainable infrastructure in many communities is becoming more and more difficult, and the Government has developed the Building Communities Program to address this issue; and

WHEREAS, the parameters of the program provide that it will only be available for projects of $1,000,000 or more, which excludes the youth from all but the major cities in the province;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that SARM petition Provincial and Federal Governments to provide assistance to smaller communities by amending the criteria of the Building Communities Program to include smaller projects for eligibility.
