WHEREAS water is a finite resource that communities rely heavily on; and

WHEREAS taking action in advance to protect and preserve valuable water supplies is in the interest of sustaining the future of communities; and

WHEREAS water and water related issues traverse jurisdictional boundaries and it is beneficial to address water and water issues on the appropriate scale;

BE IT RESOLVED that RMs within an area with an existing watershed management organization that has published a source water protection plan support the watershed organization and its initiatives.
