Congratulations to David Marit for winning the Saskatchewan Party nomination in the Wood River constituency for the next provincial election.
“Dave has represented rural Saskatchewan well in his 15 years with the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” said SARM Executive Director Jay Meyer. Mr. Marit was elected as Director for Division 2 of SARM in 1999, Vice President in 2004, and was elected President of SARM in 2006.
Mr. Marit has resigned from his position as President of the SARM Board since receiving the nomination. Following SARM’s Policy and Bylaws, Vice President Ray Orb has been named Acting President until an election can be held at the Annual Convention in March 2015.
