New West Partnership Trade Act Comes into Force on July 1, 2012

Saskatchewan Intergovernmental Affairs asked SARM to remind municipalities that the procurement provisions of the New West Partnership Trade Act (NWPTA)comes into force on July 1, 2012.

The New West Partnership (NWP), which entered into force April 1, 2010, is a far-reaching economic partnership between the Governments of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. The three provinces have committed to ongoing collaboration on innovative ways to strengthen the economy of the West.
