  • Funding is provided for roads, bridges and large diameter culverts
  • Bridges will continue to be inspected on a three-year rotation
  • Rural Road Traffic Count’s will work towards a three-year rotation
  • Four-year rolling cap (Suspended for 2020-21 and 2021-22)
  • Electronic applications for the Road Construction Program and the Bridge and Large Diameter Culvert Initiative will be kept on file and eligible for three years

Clearing the Path (CTP) Statutory Declaration

 Road Construction Program

  • Approximately $20 Million of the Ministry of Highways Stimulus Funding to be allocated to Projects in 2021-22
  • Eligible projects must be a Rural Road Classification 1 to 6 or located on a CTP Corridor
  • Funding cap of $500,000.00 per RM, per project, per year for Road Construction projects
  • Asphalt surfacing will not be an eligible expense

Bridge and Large Diameter Culvert Initiative

  • Funding is provided by partnership of the Rural Integrated Roads for Growth Program and the Invesing in Canada Infrastrcutrue Program (ICIP)
  • Eligible projects must be a Rural Road Classification 1 to 6 or located on a CTP corridor
  • Funding cap of $500,000.00, per project
  • Bridge maintenance/repairs will not be an eligible expense
