The Rural Municipality of Blaine Lake No. 434 invites applications for the full-time seasonal position of Maintenance/Equipment Operator.
Salary Range: As per IUOE Local 870 Pay Scales (Unionized)
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:00PM
The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license, be able to operate equipment as required (tractor, ditch mower, loader, backhoe), be knowledgeable with servicing and maintaining various equipment, the ability to work independently without supervision and as part of a team, be able to work safely, and be able to take direction from the Supervisor and Public Works Administrator.
Duties will include, but not limited to; ditch mowing, mulching, installation of signs, shop work, rock picking, cutting trees, mowing around shop, service and maintenance of equipment and other duties as directed by the Supervisor and Public Works Administrator.
You may work under extreme and changing climate conditions and may need to work long hours. You must be able and willing to work in physically-demanding conditions and perform physical labour and heavy lifting.
