WHEREAS rural municipalities and short line railways share the associated costs of repair and maintenance of short line railway crossings; and

WHEREAS repairs to the short line railways have been done and invoicing sent to rural municipalities without prior notification of estimated costs;

BE IT RESOLVED that Short Line Railways be required to provide cost estimates and time lines to the rural municipalities affected so proper budgeting of these costs may occur.
