WHEREAS many recent wildfires in the province have caused severe losses to pastureland;

WHEREAS the livelihood of agricultural producers has been severely impacted;

WHEREAS expanding and enhancing insurance to grassland will provide agricultural producers with more options to mitigate risk.

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM lobby the proper authorities to offer fire insurance coverage on grassland.
