WHEREAS the Quill Lakes have increased substantially due to excessive moisture over the last couple of years and its area continues to grow; and

WHEREAS these water levels have flooded Ag lands and are potentially threatening yards, highways and rail lines;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Quill Plains Maintenance Area support the idea that the Quill Lakes are Crown Waters and therefore any alterations, modifications or upgrades should be the responsibility of the Federal Government.
