WHEREAS wells that are classified as disposal wells are currently not assessable under Section 199(2)(ii) of The Municipalities Act;

WHEREAS disposal wells are used for a specific purpose in that industry and still require municipal infrastructure and maintenance with a cost to the municipality;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM works towards having legislation changed to have disposal wells assessable for taxation purposes.
