WHEREAS Highway 49’s 9 month primary weight classification ends at Pelly,  Saskatchewan or 23 kilometers short of Junction 83; and

WHEREAS lack of such primary weight access to Junction 83 forces Saskatchewan  heavy haulers to detour an extra hour south through Saskatchewan’s tourism destination,  Duck Mountain Provincial Park;

BE IT RESOLVED that SARM lobby the Provincial Government to re-class and upgrade  Highway 49 from Highway 9 to Junction 83 as a primary weight truck route.
