WHEREAS volunteer fire departments respond to motor vehicle accidents upon request from 9-1-1 notification to provide rescue/extrication, fire suppression and traffic control services; and

WHEREAS the accident scene may be responded to quicker by ambulance personnel and rescue/extrication, fire suppression and traffic control services may not be required;

BE IT RESOLVED that the SARM lobby Saskatchewan Government Insurance to adopt a fair callout compensation policy to reimburse volunteer fire departments in these situations.
