SARM Reacts to Cabinet Shuffle
The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) looks forward to working with the new provincial Cabinet, announced yesterday by Premier Wall. SARM works closely with many provincial ministries, including Government Relations, Highways and Infrastructure, and Environment which were appointed new Ministers in yesterday’s shuffle. Rural municipalities (RM) balance a wide range of priorities and as the voice of rural Saskatchewan, SARM will work with the newly appointed Ministers to ensure the rural voice is heard.
“In particular, we are looking forward to working with Minister Harpauer, as our new Minister of Government Relations,” said SARM President Ray Orb. “We also extend warm congratulations to Minister Marit on his appointment to Minister of Highways and Infrastructure and welcome Minister Moe back to the Environment file.”
“We extend our congratulations to Minister Reiter on his new appointment and thank him for his work as the Minister of Government Relations,” said President Orb. “SARM enjoyed a good working relationship Minister Reiter and we wish him the best.”
SARM congratulates all incoming Cabinet ministers, while also thanking those leaving Cabinet for their work and dedication to the Province of Saskatchewan. As the principal advocate for rural Saskatchewan, SARM is ready to get to work with the newly appointed Cabinet.
