SARM Hosts Rural Municipal Elections Reporting Tool

For the second year, SARM is hosting a real-time, online reporting tool for rural municipalities to publically post their election candidates and results for the 2012 Municipal Election, located at https://elections.sarm.ca/.

Following nomination day, September 19, 2012, rural municipalities have been posting their candidate’s names on the SARM website for ratepayers and the general public to view ahead of the polls.

On election day, October 24, rural administrators will be able to post the results that will be visible to the public immediately. SARM staff will be on hand to assist if necessary.

“This election reporting tool provides Administrators a fast and efficient way to get results out to their ratepayers, as well as to other rural municipalities, the media, and stakeholders,” said Dave Marit, SARM President. “Last year, this online election headquarters was used by almost all RMs, and this year we expect the same.”

Election results can be viewed by visiting the SARM website at www.sarm.ca and clicking the “2012 Unofficial Rural Municipal Elections Results” link, or by visiting https://elections.sarm.ca/.
