What Is Trade Compliance? Trade compliance is the process and system of understanding and adhering to the laws and regulations controlling the export and import of goods, products, information and technology.

SARM ensures that the procurement of products and services made available to the members meets the requirements of the New West Trade Partnership Agreement (NWPTA) and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). 

We participate in the process by advertising on the SaskTenders website.  Municipalities purchasing through SARM are required, by the CFTA, to publish an annual declaration of participation with the buying group. SaskTenders advised that one posting can be made by SARM of behalf of all our members. SARM will post an annual Notice of Planned Procurement regarding participation in SARM’s programs on behalf of the RMs annually.
