Fire Trucks and Fire Apparatus
SARM’s Trading Services has joined forces with our sister associations in Alberta (RMA), Saskatchewan (SUMA), and Manitoba (AMM) to establish preferred pricing for our members on Fire Truck, Apparatus, and Supplies, based on volume discounts.
When using the SARM Fire Truck Purchase Program there is no need for the RM to do an RFP as this has already been done on your behalf. The RM can now go directly to the manufacturer representative and design a fire truck that will meet their end use purpose/needs using the specifications of that manufacturer versus a generic specification that would be used in the tender/RFP process.
How to Use the Program
- The Canadian Free Trade Agreement requires any municipality interested in participating in a buying group to publish a declaration of its intent to participate in a buying group. It is recommended that your municipality’s declaration be posted on the public notice website (SaskTenders.ca) that your municipality posts competition documents to. Click here for more information and to obtain sample wording for creating your municipality’s declaration.
- The member will contact the vendor of choice and inform them of their membership with SARM and their interest in participating in the program.
- The member will purchase/place any orders through the vendor and pay the vendor directly. The vendor delivers the product and is responsible for applicable warranties.
Contracts have been awarded through our open an competitive proposal process to six vendors. We are confident they can meet our expectations and demonstrate the overall highest value solutions for you. We are proud to present the following partners:
