Municipal Capacity Development Program (MCDP)

The MCDP was formally launched in November 2006. Its roots were based on the outcomes of the Clearing the Path Initiative and was developed as a partnership between SARM, SUMA, New North and the Ministry of Government Relations.  The MCDP was created with the goal of promoting growth, cooperation and community development through inter-municipal partnership.  Due to a lack of funding the MCDP services and staff are no longer available. However MCDP developed helpful resources to assist municipalities, some of which are linked below:
