WHEREAS the SARM deadline for submitting resolutions, including resolutions regarding bylaws, is 30 days prior to the first day of the convention at which the resolution is intended to be considered;
 
WHEREAS the majority of other provincial territorial organizations (sister organizations to SARM) have a deadline of 45 days or more prior to the first day of Annual Convention/General Meeting;
 
WHEREAS SARM may receive numerous resolutions prior to convention;
 
WHEREAS resolutions require dedicated human resources;
 
WHEREAS there are current time constraints collecting resolutions to properly research, prepare, and edit resolutions;
 
WHEREAS there are current time constraints in developing and publishing of the resolution book for convention;
 
BE IT RESOLVED that the deadline for submitting resolutions, including resolutions regarding bylaws, be 45 days prior to the first day of convention at which the resolution is intended to be considered.
