Don McCallum is the Administrator of the R.M. of Cut Knife No. 439 as well as the Administrator of the Town of Cut Knife. Born and raised on a farm near Unity, Saskatchewan, Don attended elementary school in Adanac and graduated from high school in Unity. Don began his career in Local Government in November of 1979 as the Secretary-Treasurer of the R.M. of Victory No. 226 in Beechy, Sask. He received his “C” Certificate in November of 1980. In February 1983, Don became the Administrator for the R.M. of Cut Knife. He received his “A” Certificate in November, 1982 and his Superior “A” Certificate in December, 1989. Don represents SARM on the following committees:
While in Cut Knife, Don has served on the Cut Knife Credit Union Board, been Secretary-Treasurer of the Cut Knife and District Seed Cleaning Co-operative, served as chairman of the Cut Knife Housing Authority Board, past Master of the Kilwinning Masonic Lodge, volunteered many years as ambulance driver and attendant, coached minor baseball and hockey, and is a Justice of the Peace and Marriage Commissioner.
Don was elected to the RMAA Board of Directors in May 1999. He has served on numerous committees. As President of the RMAA, Don sits as an ex-officio director on the SARM Board of Directors.
